Dr. Carrie Damewood

Dr. Damewood obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oregon State University in 1991 and embarked on her journey here that October, continuing ever since. In 2002, she took over the clinic from Dr. Jerry Nied.

She has been happily married to her husband, Dave, since 1987. Together, they share their home with an energetic English Springer Spaniel and seven beloved cats. In her spare time, she enjoys activities like gardening, fishing, hiking, and especially scuba diving.

Furthermore, she volunteers with the Lane County Sheriff's Department Search and Recovery Dive team. Her commitment to both her profession and community is truly inspiring. Dr. Damewood’s passion for animals and the natural world shines through not only in her work at the clinic but also in her personal hobbies and volunteer efforts.

Her roles with the Lane County Sheriff's Department highlight her dedication to conservation and public service. This combination of professional skill and personal enthusiasm makes her a respected leader and mentor within the veterinary community. Her journey illustrates the profound impact one person can have when they wholeheartedly pursue their passions.
